Three New Paintings

Well I finished these three paintings this afternoon. I took forever to decide on what I wanted to do in the very beginning. Then it took forever for me to work through them. Originally they were going to be like some Japanese paintings I have seen, but they just were not working out. Midstream I had to do something else. Maybe these will lead to some other paintings. I just know I had to do something other than dots.

  2. Thank you. : )

The painting "Patio" is the one that came closest to what I was trying to do with these three. I needed a break from painting dots.

  5. My hope is to do more artwork like the ones already featured on this blog. It's been over two years now since I started in this direction.

  6. I finally finished this one. I started it back in March 2005.

Also, I have one new dot art piece that I should be posting on my dot art blog.

As for this blog . . . I know I want to move forward with this kind of work. I don't want to just repeat, however. That's where I get bogged down.

  7. Thanks for sharing...I think I'll switch the link on my blog to your dot art blog, as you update that more regularly.

    That might be better.

However, I fully intend to do more with this one as soon as I find the right groove. It’s been two years since I worked in this direction.

The feedback has been enthusiastic at shows and at galleries.

I have to figure out the “OK, what next?” Thank you for your return visits.
