Continuous Corners

At one of the free film screenings I started this drawing. As I mentioned in a previous post, there have been fewer of them. Saturday, while sitting at the art market, I had a chance to finish this sketch.

Eclectic Connections

This sketch provoked a lot of interest from people who walked by me while I was sketching. In fact one guy asked for my business card. At the Chinese buffet, a server said it made her think of a Chinese Dragon. So, I think I will explore this way of working in some future works.

Floral Deconstruction

Wednesday night the New Orleans Fiber Artists held a collaboration project workshop. We each brought materials and shared them as we made fiber postcards and canvas cloth images. Here is my creation I made at the workshop.

More Sketches to Come

Many of the recent sketches, from my sketchbook, were generated while I was trying to kill time. Last summer I drew a bunch while sitting at the gallery waiting for folks to come by to look at the art. But then the gallery closed. During the fall and January, I made drawings while waiting in line to attend free film screenings. However the slowdown in the economy has now affected them. There have been a lot fewer of the screenings. I am working on some new drawings and I will be posting them in the near future. I figured I should say something.
